Bastrop Stars of Hope - Groesbeck Rebuilds America

By Sam Bosell 26 Mar 2012

Rogers-O’Brien Construction is participating in a 3-day project called Stars of Hope, scheduled for April 12th – 14th in Bastrop, Texas.  With the help of the Bastrop children at Emile Elementary, Mina Elementary and Lost Pines Elementary, Groesbeck Rebuilds America members will bring 1,689 Stars to the disaster area, to give the community Hope, to rebuild. Each Star of Hope will represent one home lost in the Bastrop community during the wildfires. The stars are then placed on stakes throughout the Bastrop community to represent messages of hope and recovery. During the event, we outline to the students why we are at their school and what we hope to accomplish in their community. Our goal is to lift the children, and parents, up and empower them to help in their community’s recovery from disaster.  The stars allow the children to take to take ownership in accomplishing this.
