Upon placement of the last lift of concrete at the roof deck of the new Forest Park Medical Center, Rogers-O’Brien Construction celebrated with a Topping Out ceremony on Friday, November 1, 2013.  A full-service hospital, the Forest Park Medical Center -San Antonio will feature 54 private inpatient rooms (including 16 VIP patient suites), 6 intensive care rooms, 12 state-of-the-art fully integrated operating suites, cardiac catheterization laboratory, and 2 procedure rooms. The hospital will also have state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging suites, a lab, pharmacy and cafeteria.  Inspired by four and five-star resorts, the medical center will have an upscale ambiance throughout when completed in Spring 2014.  A Topping Out ceremony is held when the last steel beam is placed at the top of a high rise project. A tree is placed on the beam to represent that there have been no injuries on the site, to symbolize green building and growth and to bring good luck to the hospital.  The project team for the hospital includes BOKA Powell (design architect), Neal Richards Group (owner/developer), Rogers-O'Brien (general contractor) and Vibrant Healthcare (operator).
