This 68,000 SF tilt-wall facility in Allen, Texas serves as the North Texas corporate headquarters for the high-tech manufacturer of semi-conductor wafers found in cellphones, cars, optical network and infrared detection, Intelligent Epitaxy (IntelliEPI). With another base in Taiwan, IntelliEPI decided to create a home where they could consolidate and work more efficiently across 7.5 acres in North Texas. RO partnered with GSO Architects on this design-build project to create a one-of-a-kind tilt-wall structure for the tech firm. The RO+GSO team worked with the city of Allen to accommodate a facility of this type and actually worked to move a major road beyond its original endpoint. The project contains approximately 21,400 SF of office space, 37,350 SF of manufacturing and warehouse space and 9,150 SF of Clean Room space. This new facility features a craneway in the manufacturing area to improve productivity.
